Laathi starring Vishal Krishna is a Police background action drama film with a run-time of 2 hours 30 minutes, released as a PAN India film in Hindi language as well as other southern languages. Laathi is a missed opportunity by its makers riding only on the shoulders of a sincere performance by its lead actor Vishal.

Half-baked screenplay, poor execution and improper editing make this action drama boring at many places .

Comedy, emotion both seem misfit in the film and hence those scenes miserably failed to grab the attention of the audience.

The inclusion of multiple genres in the film's screenplay failed to do justice to the main theme of the film . In some parts of the film we see Vishal's character seeking justice for the rape victim, in some parts we see the film taking route for another genre and this cross genre cause the film loses its track and theme.

The film could have easily been the best film if the director had stuck to the theme of the film and executed it very well

Such strong subject demands a solid execution, great production value ,impactful screenplay and a solid antagonist, but the Vishal starrer Laathi fails on all the above aspects.

Talking about the action scenes of the film, there are limited action blocks in the film but they leave impression to some extent.

The film will definitely be liked by Vishal's fans who would love to see their favorite actor in the character but the film will fail to strike a chord with the general audience and cinema lovers and will garner a low average rating.
